The purpose of this site is to help people make smart product purchasing decisions. In order to make that happen we either buy the products we review and test them ourselves or we conduct extensive online research about them to put together in-depth reviews.
We don’t accept freebies or payments from companies or manufacturers in exchange for doing reviews.
However, this site is time consuming to run so we do monetize it with advertising and with affiliate programs.
What that means is that sometimes when you click on a link to a product we have reviewed and decide to buy the product we will earn a small commission on the sale. Rest assured however, that money does not influence our product reviews or opinions.
We are working to build a loyal readership and would not risk it by recommending bad products or writing false reviews. Instead, we are committed to becoming a source you can trust and we hope you will visit often. To that end we will only recommend products that we believe in and that we feel good about. If we wouldn’t recommend them to our own families or friends we definitely won’t recommend them to you.
The main company that we are affiliated with is Amazon.com. If you click a link on our site that takes you to Amazon we will earn a small commission on that sale.
We also earn money from Google ads that run on this site. We don’t control the content of those ads and don’t endorse any products, websites or services that are advertised through them.
Also, just for the record, we think the FTC rules regarding disclosure are great - it is just one more step toward protecting consumers online and we are happy to do our best to comply. Thanks for reading!
